The name of the watch is a tribute to the Venetian submarine Nereide, a Nautilus class submarine built in the Arsenale between 1911 and 1915 and commissioned to the engineer De Bernardis of the Royal Navy. The watch is inspired by the design of WWI submarines and withstands a pressure of 20 atmospheres.

Our Jubilee bracelet

We reinterpreted one of the bracelets most appreciated in the world of watchmaking, adapting it perfectly to the shapes and finishes of the case of the Nereide model. Numerous tests have been carried out to obtain a product ergonomic And quality with satin and polished finishes. A perfect fit on the wrist is guaranteed by a butterfly clasp which makes the watch practical to use in any situation.

Ceramic ferrule insert

Nereide's unidirectional rotating bezel is a key element of its functionality: engraved with a 60-minute graduation, it is able to provide the diver with an accurate and safe indication of dive times and decompression pauses. Made by Meccaniche Veneziane in ceramic, it is particularly hard and resistant to corrosion, the bezel disc is virtually scratch-resistant and its color remains unaltered despite exposure to ultraviolet rays, sea water or water with chlorine.

A Swiss heart in sight

For this limited edition of Nereid, we have designed and engineered a new sapphire crystal caseback to showcase the Swiss-made MV285 automatic movement. In particular, extremely fine sandblasting was used on the movement bridges to give the watch a more modern look. The golden rotor with Côtes de Genève finish, on the other hand, is the classic element, present in each of our creations.

BGW9 Super-LumiNova®

Swiss Super-LumiNova® BGW9 is a luminescent pigment, which, in low light conditions, emits a blue-green glow . For BGW9 paint to fully express its potential, it needs to be charged with sunlight or artificial light. In daylight conditions, the BGW9 paint is white in color . Compared to the C1 pigment, BGW9 has a relative brightness more than triple, making it the most popular solution in fine watchmaking.

Satin finish

This careful stylistic choice lends a more modern look to a design that aims to convey tradition but also innovation. This type of satin finish is obtained through a manual process carried out by expert craftsmen who, with skilful expertise, finish every single surface of the case. The entire process consists of a plurality of processing steps which, taken together, guarantee the achievement of the desired quality level.
